RT-2087/ZPX-B Mode 5 Transponder

The RT-2087/ZPX-B is a complete, low-SWaP Combat ID and Air Traffic Control surveillance system designed to satisfy Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Transponder and Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) requirements for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) operating both in the battlefield and in controlled airspace. When combined with a micro-crypto applique, small and tactical UAS have available to them Mode 5 – the latest IFF encryption standard used by NATO and its allies. Options for integrated ADS-B receiver and ethernet. Included internal crypto emulator for non-classified testing and operations.

Option to connect tryFYX GPS sensor.

RT-2087/ZPX-C Mode 5 Transponder

The RT-2087/ZPX-C is a complete, low-SWaP Combat ID and Air Traffic Control surveillance system designed to satisfy Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Transponder and Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) requirements for manned and unmanned aircraft operating both in the battlefield and in controlled airspace. The ZPX-C is equipped with antenna diversity and ADS-B IN for Detect and Avoid (DAA) functionality. When combined with a microcrypto applique, small and tactical UAS have available to them Mode 5 – the latest IFF encryption standard used by NATO and its allies. Included internal crypto emulator for non-classified testing and operations.

ZPX-R Mode 5 Receiver

The uAvionix ZPX-R is a passive Mode 5 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) and civil Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) receiver system which provides situational awareness of civil and military aircraft in the airspace or on the battlefield. The low Size, Weight, and Power Consumption (SWaP) characteristics make the ZPX-R ideal for airborne and shipboard deployments, as well as temporary or permanent ground-based installation. The system’s design is based on common hardware and software deployed in the AIMS Certified uAvionix RT2087/ZPX Mode 5 nanoIFF transponder.

ZPX-G Mode 5 GPS Module

ZPX-G is a Technical Standard Orders (TSO) derived SBAS Global Positioning System (GPS) position source designed specifically for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) autopilots and Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) OUT solutions. The ZPX-G incorporates the GPS receiver and antenna into a single 11mm LRU.

ZPX-SK KIV Emulator

The Mode 5 Crypto Emulator provides customers of the uAvionix RT-2087/ZPX line of nanoIFF Mode 5 transponders with the capability to perform ground and airborne Mode 5 functional flight testing and verification when crypto appliqué keys are not available or desired – streamlining testing and field operations.

MEMORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM – MMS

Secure flight data with the Memory Management System (MMS). The unit comes with a pilot-removable primary memory module, allowing for maximum data management flexibility.

Hardened Memory Unit – HMU

The Hardened Memory Unit (HMU) stores and protects vital flight information for analysis and if necessary, flight recovery details. Extremely simple to install and maintain, the system uses a standard USB 2.0 interface and is fully compatible with our MMS product.
